Glasgow Life collectively manages and delivers library, museum, arts and community services in the Greater Glasgow area. We have two projects currently underway: one to better understand the information needs of visually impaired young people, and one seeking to identify and address the manifestation of child information poverty. With Barnardo’s, we are also currently making final preparations to undertake an investigation into the information needs of young first time mothers from areas of multiple deprivation.

East Renfrewshire Education Services (Culture, Sport & Continuing Education) collectively manage public libraries, school libraries, arts and community services, and sports facilities in East Renfrewshire. We are currently working together to better understand adolescent information seeking behaviour in order to better inform school and public library information services. Ethnographic in approach, we are currently ‘in field’, observing information seeking behaviour of fifth year high school pupils across a full academic year.
